​Aged Care Capital Assistance Programme,

is a funding opportunity under the Australian Government’s commitment to enhancing aged care services. This programme provides financial support for residential-based aged care services and staff accommodation, particularly in regional, rural, and remote areas.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible applicants include:

  • Approved aged care providers under the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Act 2018

  • Indigenous Corporations (No co-contribution required)

  • Local Government, Not-for-profits, Incorporated Associations, and other eligible entities

 

Eligible Projects

Funding may be used for:

  • Infrastructure projects to maintain or improve aged care services

  • New residential care facilities or expansion and upgrades of existing services

  • Construction or refurbishment of staff accommodation in regional, rural, and remote areas

  • Purchase of land and buildings for aged care service delivery

  • Safety and security improvements

  • Furniture, fittings, equipment, and IT infrastructure

 

Ineligible Expenditures

Grant funding cannot be used for:

  • Feasibility studies or business case development

  • Staff wages or operational costs

  • Retrospective costs (projects started before grant approval)

  • Vehicle purchases or relocation expenses

 

How Much Can You Apply For?

There is no set minimum or maximum funding amount per application. Organisations may apply for the funding required to complete their proposed project, ensuring the application aligns with the grant objectives and demonstrates value for money. Corporate State or Territory Entities must provide a 50% cash co-contribution.
