Firstly, I can’t stress enough that this is just one person’s view into the world of funding and one opinion on steps to take.

Over the course of this book, I will show you how, from scratch, to work your magic in getting your project funded, or not, as honestly there is no guarantee.

You will learn how and where to find grants, tips on writing and what to look out for. From go to wo, this book will set you on the funding path.

Throughout this book I mainly focus on grants, as opposed to its cousin ‘tenders’,which in theory some parts of grants can be applied to tenders, but it very much depends on your project and what you are trying to achieve.

 

Then you also have the R&D side of funding (tax incentive). This is different from the above two and has its own little spot at the end of this book.

Looking for funding

Let’s start with funding and where to look. Depending on what your idea is, there are a few different avenues you could go down, and as previously mentioned, your entity will determine your eligibility.  The following are a few different places to get you started. 

 

1 - Government Funding
